DESCRIPTION:Rehearsals on May 19 and June 2 will be 4:30-6:30\, instead of the usual time. \n\nWant to join our band of merry-makers? We welcome all ages and skill levels! \nMMMB ordinarily practices every Sunday afternoon at Artworks at the Carver School\, 522 Patterson Street. The color guard and musicians usually rehearse in separate second floor classrooms\, with a joint period of announcements in the middle: \n–3:45-4:00 pm\, musicians arrive; warm-up \n–4:00-6:00\, color guard and musicians rehearse \n–break at 5-ish for announcements \nSome weeks\, when the color guard and musicians need to practice together\, the timing may be different. Some weeks\, the practice location may be different. Due to holidays and scheduling conflicts\, there will not be any practice some weeks. All schedule changes will be reflected on Gig-o-Matic and shared via MMMB’s Google listserv email. \nAre kids and other guests welcome at practice?  \nKids who are serious about practicing are very welcome\, at the discretion of the Minister of the Grooves and the Ministers of the Moves. A parent/guardian should stay for practice\, as no one else in MMMB can take responsibility for watching them. Some teens who have demonstrated commitment to practice diligently may not need parents/guardians to stay\, but please know that they are not supervised at practice or at events. We have been very fortunate to have some awesome teen monkeys!  \nGuests are welcome to observe practice quietly\, and parents/guardians need to keep an eye on their own kids. There are not any extra adults to watch them\, and band members need to be able to concentrate on practice. Kids must keep themselves occupied and quiet. Even though we are a fun bunch\, we take practice seriously!

The Festival happens every June in beautiful downtown Danville\, Kentucky and on the campus of Centre College. The Festival is a free\, family friendly four day event. SUMMARY:Lexington Pride Festival
DESCRIPTION:Note: The Lexington Pride Festival has two stages this year\, and MMMB will perform in front of the Barr Street stage (and not the Short Street stage). \n— \nThe Lexington Pride Festival is an annual event created to celebrate the LGBTQ+ people\, their friends\, families\, and allies. The family-friendly festival is held on the last Saturday of June at the Robert Stephens Courthouse at the corner of North Limestone and Main Streets. The free festival includes entertainment\, kids activities\, vendors\, and fun events. The event was created to create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community to connect and to celebrate and to celebrate our identities.
